The Season of Reflection Collection

Sid Dickens' newest release, "The Season of Reflection," arrives with rustling leaves and a gentle chill in the air. As the days begin to shorten and the darkness of night comes early, a sense of change and renewal is invoked as the world transforms into shades of gold, orange, and red. 

As we step into the tapestry of fall, we encounter a rich juxtaposition of celebrations: from the merriment of Halloween to the solemnity of honouring veterans, it is a time to reflect on our past and present traditions. “Enchanted” celebrates the whimsy of Halloween, when children and adults alike embrace the magic of fantasy this special night entails. The appearance of pumpkins signify the harvest season has arrived just in time to be carved and transformed by candlelight, while “Lest We Forget” honours a much more somber occasion in remembrance of the brave dedication of soldiers and veterans.

The shortening days highlight the full spectrum of the human experience that comes with embracing both the light and dark. The wise owl embraces the night with its luminous eyes, seeing all that life has to offer through the darkness. The juxtaposition of a gentle rose and sharp blade in “Duality” shows us the beauty that strength and resilience brings. Lastly, “Weaver” reminds us to embrace the unknown and shows us the value of patience and connection.
